Lewes- My 3rd English Castle
Its like "A Castle A Day Keeps the Boredom Away". So while hubby was at work I decided to visit another castle nearby,the Lewes Castle which is just a 30 minute bus ride from Brighton.
This is before the entrance to the castle. This is the 3rd castle I will be visiting after Windsor(Sunday), Arundel(Tuesday).One of the two castle towers.

A map of the castle Entry fee to the castle is 6 pounds. This castle relic is much smaller than Arundel and Windsor so touring it would only require maybe 1-2 hours.

This is the tallest tower The only downside specially for older visitors is the steep stairs going up to get a good view of Lewes town.
The Royal Pavilion@Brighton, UK
The Royal Pavilion in Brighton used to be the summer residence of King George IV or more popularly known as the Prince of Wales. Inspired by Indian and moorish architecture , it is an imposing and extravagant residence that is filled with the finest collections and examples of the chinoiserie style in Britain. 
As you enter the palace, you will be awed by the numerous chandeliers that adorn the ceilings. Even the details of the ceiling are quite impressive specially if you consider the amount of restoration the palace has undergone after it had a fire in the 70s. 
The Royal Pavilion started as a modest 18th century farmhouse. After George IV had succeeded his father as king ,he hired the eminent architect John Nash to transform this farmhouse into the exotic splendour of the Royal Pavilion as we see it today.
King George loved chinoiserie – the decorative style inspired by China and also enjoyed entertaining and surrounded himself with courtiers and fashionable society guests. At the Royal Pavilion he hosted gastronomic feasts in the Banqueting Room, and balls and concerts in the Music Room.The Banquet Hall is adorned with gold artifacts and chinese vases that exudes the extravagant nature of the King. 
The kitchen in itself is the biggest that I have seen in a castle. It can probably hold a retinue of cooks and helpers serving the King. 
Not only is the King extravagant with his quarters.He also built a separate structure to house his stable of horses. This stable is now the site of the Brighton Museum and Art gallery, a huge structure that is located just adjacent to the Royal Pavilion.
There is a lot of things to do just around the property. If you don't want to pay the £10 admission fee, you are welcome to take photos of the exterior of the building and picnik at the beautiful grounds of this magnificent structure once known as the King of Wales residence. 
Today, the Pavilion is the only royal palace not owned by the crown since it was sold by Queen Victoria to the City of Brighton in the 1800s. It is certainly one of the city's famous landmarks.A must see when you visit Brighton.
Windmill of Worthing,West Sussex
The United Kingdom has a handful of operational windmills. 
Worthing has one operational windmill perched on top of a hill reachable only through a narrow uphill drive. Only one car can pass through the long winding road up the hill so any car going up or down the hill has to stop and check and give way to each other. 
High Salvington Windmill is an excellent example of a working post mill dating from approximately 1750. 
The mill has been extensively restored and was able to restart grinding in 1991

Something for Beatles and Harry Potter Fans
THE ABBEY ROAD CROSSINGAbbey Road Studios is most closely associated with the Beatles, who recorded almost all of their albums and singles there between 1962 and 1970. The Beatles named their 1969 album, Abbey Road, after the street where the studio is located (the recording studio would only be named Abbey Road after the Beatles record in 1970) 
The Abbey Road pedestrian crossing in Northern London is one of the world’s most famous because it is on the cover of a Beatles album. Now, the British government has put it on the list of national heritage sites. 
The crossing, however, is not in the exact same place it was when the Beatles walked over it in 1969. It was moved about 3 meters because of traffic reasons in the 1970s. For real fans of the Fab Four it doesn’t matter, the site still remains a place which thousands of Beatles fans visit every year. 
Normally, only buildings and other architectural sites get the award. It is the first time that a section of a street became part of Britain’s National Heritage. The crossing is near the Abbey Road studios where the Beatles made most of their records. Today it can be seen around the world on a special webcam (http://www.abbeyroad.com/visit/ ).
