Applying for a UK visa during the Yuletide Holidays

This is the second time we are applying for a UK visa since our 6 month visa which was issued to us in June 2012 just expired in the first week of December.
Since hubby is expected to visit his client by first week of January, we immediately applied for the visa soon after his return from the US. We submitted our application on December 17,Monday to the Woodbridge Services at:
Toronto visa application centre
1 Dundas St West, Suite 2500 (Corner of Yonge St. and Dundas St.)
Toronto, Ontario M5G1Z3
All Toronto applications received in Toronto are sent to the UK Embassy in NY and the World Bridge services in Toronto has informed us that it will take 15 working days to process the visa.
December 17-21 4 days starting on Dec 18
December 22-23 Non working days (Sat and Sun)
December 24-25 Non working holidays
Decembe 26-27 5th and 6th day upon receipt
December 28 7th day we received this email.

Unclassified: UK visa application received
Dear Applicant,
The package containing your UK visa application has been opened and your supporting documents organized in preparation for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer. Please note UKBA customer service standards for all applications are: to complete 90% of visa applications (except settlement categories) in not more than three weeks, 98%in six weeks and 100% in 12 weeks.

You will receive further e-mails advising you of -
1. When your application reaches the next stage of the process; review by an Entry Clearance Officer, and
2. The outcome of your application. This e-mail will also provide you with details of your return package. You should allow a minimum of 3 working days for your documents to be sent back to you by DHL EXPRESS. If you chose to pick up at the Toronto VAC, WorldBridge will contact you directly.
