Second Time in the UK

I am cracking my brains thinking where to go ,if ever, we proceed with our Portsmouth/London trip.

We are confining our trip to UK since we have no more time to get a Schengen Visa which probably would be a blessing since we can just catch the Eurostar for Paris or Brussels or Amsterdam.(which with hubby's tight work schedule ain't possible).

I know Portsmouth and London will be blustery cold in January,but thats OK since we are used to it in Toronto anyway. I am now thinking of the following itinerary ...

The World Heritage City of Bath (1 hour and 45 minutes from Heathrow). Cardiff Castle in Wales( 2 hours and 35 minutes from Portsmouth) and hopefully catch a flight to Edinburgh Scotland from London (1 hour and 15 minutes by plane)
