This property which used to be the Ritz Carlton Bali has been in the CONDE NAST TRAVELLER READERS’ AWARDS as well as WORLD TRAVEL AWARDS and Travel and Leisure for being the Best Resort and Spa in Asia and the world.

We spent 3 wonderful days at this resort hotel in December 2009. There are several pools that are located in breathtaking and jawdropping location(imagine a bar and pool perched on top of a rock below a cliff).

You feel rich(even if you aren't) and pampered if you are surrounded by people who call you by name and who are willing to strike a conversation with you and give you full attention when you need it.

Picture this (that really differentiates a Ritz Carlton experience):

- Every 2 pm everyone in the pool area is served cold drinks and cold towel anticipating that you might feel dehydrated due to the weather.

- all the rooms have standard features but they give special attention to detail..they even wrap your plastic bags with ribbons and bathrooms have aromatheraphy scents every day.

-the rooms are cleaned twice a day and staff are very polite and courteous without being obstrusive

- guests are welcomed by leis of calachuchi which seem like you are in Hawaii rather than Bali.

My only complaints?

1) Internet is not free and expensive at US$6/hour

2) there are only 3 schedules of free shuttle to Kuta Beach(which is the party place in Bali).They should add more.

3) Its located in Jimbaran which is quite far from the touristy area where shops and restaurants are located.
