Hubby is set to visit a client in West Sussex in England and as usual he invited me to come with him to the UK.

We had to apply for a UK visa since we are still Philippine passport holders. It is quite easy but expensive to apply for a UK visa.

Where to submit the Application Form and Supporting Documents

UK Visa applications in Toronto are handled by World Bridge Services located at the One Dundas West building which is adjacent to the Eaton Centre in downtown Toronto.

How much is the UK Visa and Where to Pay the fees?

Application fee of US$129 is also paid online. It depends on where you file your application, but in Toronto only online payments are allowed.

How do you Set an Appointment Date with the Visa Centre?

After paying the fee online, you are automatically directed to the Appointment Schedule page where you can schedule the date and time of appointment for you to submit your original documents and application form with the World Bridge Services offices.

What to do During the Appointment Date?

On the appointment date at the World Bridge Services office, you can actually walk in earlier than your appointed time depending on whether there are a lot of applicants waiting for their turn to submit the documentsm, they will attend to you immediately just pick a queue number when you enter the room.

Unlike applications in other embassies (just like when we applied for a Schengen visa in Germany)there are no interviews at the World Bridge Services office. You only have to submit the application form,supporting documents, original passport(s), required photograph and permanent residency card.

After you have submitted all the required documents they will issue an acknowledgement receipt to you indicating the documents that you have submitted to them.

You will also have to take biometric finger printing and photo taking . Once this is done, then you just have to wait for your visa within a 5-15 days period.

You can track the outcome of your application online using your email address which you have given in your application form.

How to Pick up your Documents?

If you want all your documents to be delivered straight to your address, you have to pay $28 for that service.We paid for this service since the lady at the counter said that we would receive the documents 2-3 days earlier if it is delivered by courier rather than if we picked it up.

So now we will just wait for our visa(if it is granted) and we shall start our trip (to visit the Queen ), he he!
