This is our time line (how long it will take to process) in getting a UK visa in Toronto(note that visas applied in Toronto are still sent to New York)
We applied online through Woodbridge services in Toronto which handles all UK Applications and scheduled our appointment for Monday June 4 to submit our application, passport and supporting documents.
June 4,Monday (Day 1)
We applied for our UK visa on a Monday, June 4.
June 5,Tuesday (Holiday in UK) June 5 was a holiday in the UK because of the Queens Golden Jubilee celebrations. Our documents which was still sent to New York will still be processed starting Wednesday June 6.
June 6-8,Wed-Friday (2nd-4th day of application) June 9-10,Sat-Sunday-Non working days
June 11, Monday(5th day) We received an email stating that they received our application.
June 12-14, 6th-8th day of application-no email advise
June 15-9th day of application-we received an email that our visa was issued.
Now, we just have to track down our DHL delivery and wait.
So in essense it took about 9-10 days for visa to be processed and another 2-3 days excluding Saturdays and Sundays for DHL delivery.Total will be about 2-3 weeks inclusive of delivery or pick up.
