We visited Perth Australia in the Spring of 2009 and stayed at Criterion Hotel in Downtown Perth.
Its a 3 star hotel whose main advantage for us is its LOCATION. If u dont mind certain 1st class luxuries that are absent, then this is the place to stay. Some of its positive advantages are:
Positive1) near to everywhere, restaurants,malls, etc
2) Free Cat bus is just infront of the hotel
Buses in Perth are solar powered and are FREE.We moved around the city using free buses all the way to Kings Park to enjoy the wild flowers of Spring in Australia.
3) Malls(the shopping district of Perth) are just 5 min walk
4) restaurants are everywhere just a doorstep away
Negative1) we stayed 3 nights and our room was cleaned only once
2) no bath tub(we stayed in a quad room-for 4
3) bare essentials for toiletries
4) internet has to be cut every 3 hrs and u have to go down to reception to get ur internet access user name and password
But who will complain if you are at the center of downtown Perth? We didn't!
