Using Marriot Asia Pacific's Time Share Rewards

When hubby bought time shares at Marriot Asia Pacific, I (personally) was not aware that we have to pay annual Club Dues of USD371.08.This is like having a banked in fund for hotel fees for one whole year. So its not actually cheap to be a time share holder of Marriot.

To maximize our usage , I have requested to use our points for the following reservations in our vacation next year.

With our current 24,000 points and another 12,000 points by June 2013 ,we wanted to make the following reservations:

July 27 or Aug 3 (Saturday- any available room on either dates RITZ CARLTON MILLENIA SINGAPORE 1 night 5,500 pts)

July 29-31,2013 1 Standard room (2 beds) Courtyard by Marriott Bali Nusa Dua (3,500 pts x 2 nights= 7,000 pts)

Aug 22-24,2013 1 Standard room(2 beds) PORTMAN RITZ CARLTON SHANGHAI (5,000 pts x 2 nights= 10,000 pts)

Unfortunately making reservations using our points isn't that easy.We still have to wait for the calendar of availability for these hotels to be released by Marriot.

In fact, Marriot emailed me offering a special(its expensive) room rate for Ritz Carlton Millenia Singapore Marina Bay fronting room for August 9 & 10 at no less than $400/night. August 9 as you see is Singapore's National Day so its the site of the National Day Parade and is considered one of the best places to view the parade and fireworks on that day. These are the prices to book a room at Ritz Carlton, Millenia Singapore on August 9 and 10
