We spent the weekend in Downtown Toronto since Saturday November 17 was the Lighting of the Toronto Christmas Tree and the opening of the Cavalcade of Lights. We failed to view the lighting of the Christmas tree and the fireworks at 8pm but we were able to catch the dancing that came after the opening ceremonies. The crowd danced to popular disco beats and were also treated to performances from fire jugglers. On Sunday, the Annual Santa Claus Parade kicked off the beginning of the Yuletide season in Toronto. The crowd never left the parade route until they saw the most anticipated float carrying Santa. The major retailers and shopping centres such as Eaton Centre already had their sparking reindeer and pink Christmas tree all lit up. The Bay had window displays with the "Toyland" theme which makes one nostalgic for their childhood christmases. Specifically for myself, it reminds me of the Christmas Displays of COD Department store in Cubao. Although its still over a month from now, let me greet everyone an Advance Yuletide greetings!
