I had been monitoring the blossoming of the Cherry Blossoms at High Park since last week and fortunately I was able to go today. There is a 4 day rain forecast starting Saturday till Tuesday so I was thinking even it was Friday the 13th I really had to go downtown.

It took me two hours to travel from Brampton to High Park first by Go Bus and then by subway. The High Park subway exit was just 5 minutes walk to the first group of cherry blossom trees which was just across the childrens park.

Almost everyone was with their cameras, their dogs and their artist canvasses painting away their lunchtime hour. One lady who took my picture even got an off from work just to be at the park to take photos.

The largest group of cherry blossoms however were just across the small lake infront of the Grenadier Cafe and Tea House. This is the perfect spot for picture taking.

I took a video of the beautiful sunny day at High Park. Most of the trees are planted on the hillside overlooking Grenadier Pond, just southwest of the Grenadier Cafe in the middle of the park.If you have time, you can still visit the park and enjoy this springtime spectacle before the rains come. I hope you enjoy my video!
