I remember that the first time I flew on a plane I was so excited about the experience. However it took me only one bad and frightening experience to become afraid of flying.

I would never forget that experience when we were flying to Taiwan on a China airline flight. The stewardesses were serving our lunch when suddenly all the cups went flying and tumbling .

At first I didnt find it scary but when the plane started going on roller coaster dips that became scary and specially so when some passengers started calling out their mothers name. Now I know when you are near death its either you call your mother or husbands name. I was so scared I embraced my seatmate who was my companion on that trip. He later tried pursuing me when we landed. My tip for you is never never embrace a male seatmate even if you are scared.

This particular event scared me for life about the experience of flying. Now everytime I am on board I usually have my novena or rosary with me.



It scared me to shit when I saw this video of a plane landing sideways due to high winds. The pilot was smart but I wonder how the passengers feel about this landing.

But here is one tip from my stewardess friend, the most dangerous part of flying is the take off and landing. So now I pray only during take offs and landings, he he.

Despite this experience I have flown several miles and still have that itchy feeling of looking forward to my next overseas flight.
