Just like Billy Joel's song "A New York State of Mind", I currently have a "Carlsbad State of Mind" because my husband is in Carlsbad,California for the next three weeks till end of April.
It is good that we have SKype so I am able to talk to him everyday for free.
I love going to California and to Carlsbad in particular since its less crowded than LA and the temperature is pleasingly cool the whole year round.
Years ago, I was lucky to be in Carlsbad courtesy of hubby in time for the peak time for the Flower Fields of Carlsbad and here are some photos of that day excursion I had during the ranunculus season.
It was a joy taking photos of the ranunculus flowers and the roses that they had in time for Mothers Day.
The Flower Fields come alive only from April to around end May.The rest of the year the field is just plain dirt in time for another season for the following year.
