There are hotels no matter how basic they are just leave a mark in your memory. You remember the place and recommend it to friends.

The Golden Temple Villa in Siem Reap is one of these hotels.

Things that I love about this hotel:

1) free coffee,tea and banana, in addition to a welcome drink

2) free internet(which is very important for me)

3) free 20 minute massage

4) free airport pick up

5) rates as low as US$18 for a double bed room

6) near the Old Market and Artisan D Angkor

7) Reasonable arranged tuk tuk price to Angkor Wat ($12)

What I think needs improvement:

1) Room housekeeping is not at par .I saw them clean our rooms

2) Towels are very thin and doesnt smell nice

3) The cabinets inside the rooms have mosquitoes and dont smell nice

4) The street infront of the hotel is muddy when it rains

5) the toilets are not cleaned properly

6) Bring your own toothpaste(they have expired ones),soap and shampoo since its not provided

7) Their carbonara noodles is bland and pizza is not nice

But for US$18 per day I think I dont have a reason to complain.

They even took our photos during our departure and sent it to us by email thanking us for our stay.
