Dining in a Historic Restaurant

It is an extra ordinary experience to dine in a place which has history written in its walls. History was the main reason we dined at Union Oyster House in our visit to Boston last week.
Here are some facts about America's Oldest Restaurant.
Founded: 1826
The Union Oyster House occupies a building that was built sometime in the 1740s, 30 years before the American Revolution. It is not only Bostons oldest restaurant but is also the oldest restaurant in continous operation in the United States of America.
Connection with Famous People
In 1796, the future King of France lived on the second floor during his exile earning his living by teaching French to many of Boston's fashionable young ladies.
Years later, in the 50s and 60s the Kennedy Clan has patronized this restaurant for years. John F Kennedy was a patron and loved to dine in the privacy of the upstairs dining room. In his name, a Kennedy Booth was dedicated to his memory in this restaurant.
Specialties
Oysters and clams on the half shell, grilled or stuffed clams and oysters. Take note however that prices are expensive. It will set you back by a couple of hundred dollars.
We are definitely happy eaters (pardon my youngest sons face, he he).
