If your kids love Disneyland staying at HK Disney Hollywood hotel is the best choice for accomodations when visiting Disneyland in Hongkong.This is one of our familys favorite hotels.

THE LOCATION

Hotel has a good location if you want to spend most of your time in Disneyland. It's not a good location if you want to spend most of your time in the city(HK) as it is quite far.

Free shuttle services to and from the Disneyland park is provided by the hotel. It is one of the two hotels located inside the HK Disneyland area.

THE ROOMS

Rooms are clean, but very small. The bathrooms are clean and the towels are fresh.

The housekeeping staff are great at what they do, at least that's a plus. They do not scrimp on leaving new Mickey paper cups for the children.

There is no wifi in the room and the internet connection would cost you HK120 for the first 24 hours. I think this is why the lobby was always full. They, at least, provide you with 3 bottles of water every day. Sleep quality is not that great as you would often hear thumping and loud noises from other rooms. However, when you report it to the front desk, they would send someone up and settle it.

RESTAURANTS IN THE HOTEL

The food outlets were just OK but are thoughtful enough to serve them in nice platters for the kids.When my son celebrated his birthday there, they gave him a cake and sang the birthday song for him which made my son very happy.

The Mickey restaurant at the lobby is the best place to bring your kids since its a buffet restaurant and Disney characters roam around the hotel and mostly go inside the restaurants and your kids can take photos with them while they are eating.

There are several restaurants inside the hotel plus a breakfast cafe where you can just come down using your bathrobes and get your breakfast there.

The upside to all this is swimming with Goofy. The staff were not shooing the children away from Goofy, but instead, encouraged them to swim with him.
